We switched back to a color cursor, because the standard system arrow was creating some problems on PCI PowerMacs. We further improved sound output on all Macs (especially on PPCs). Finally, we released the first PPC native version (thouroughly tested, although not as deeply as the 68K versions). It was obviously compiled under CodeWarrior™.
On popular demand, the cheat key combo (available only to registered users) now disables high score tracking.
• How to use this update
The current archive contains this Read Me, the standard game Read Me, and three small applications. These apps are patches created with the wonderful ResCompare utility by Michael Hecht. Their usage is pretty straightforward: when you launch them, they ask you where is the specific file to be patched. After having selected the file, the original one will be renamed <filename version backup> and moved to the Trash; finally, the patch will replace the original file with the new one. It's just that easy!
This archive contains also the first PPC native release of the program: it's a plain application, so you'll simply have to move it into your TheZone folder.
